Volcano.

The fizzy drink exploded because the CO2 is in the middle of the H2O. The H2O is blocking the CO2 making it stuck when the mint comes along it saves the CO2 from the H2O and the mint breaks the H2O up this makes the CO2 get bigger and explodes.  
Now you know why mentos and fizzy drink explodes.

I have made another text on photo to summarise the story I have read with my teacher.

I have been using the Text on Photo app today to summarise my story Little Donkey.

Evidence of achieving my reading goals

My reading goals are to match a picture to the name.

My score improved from 3/10 at the beginning of the year to 9/10 for matching the picture to the word in my STAR test (word recognition).

To read for meaning and add the missing word in the gap so it make sense in CLOZE activities.

These photos show that I am filling in the missing gaps with the right words.

My last reading goal is to confidently answer inference questions using the clues from the book.
I am getting better at this and am still working hard to race Sarah to answer the questions.

What is Culture?

Mrs Head asked us what is culture and we could show her anyway we wanted. I choose to make a glogster.

Room 9 Assembly

Room 9 had the best assembly ever!!!
I felt shy doing my Doodle-Dum dance and I was too shy to make the thunder and sing the boy and girl song. 
I liked the way that Jacob, Oliver and Amelia, Paarth and me said our Venn diagram words with expression.
I will look up at the audience when I am singing and I will smile at the audience next time and I won't be shy.

WOW visit

I liked the glowing costumes.
I learnt how the costumes glow under the certain light.
It will help me design my own costume by learning how costumes get made  in the olden days and how they wrote it on the paper, and then they made it with paper and they made the real thing.
















     

Term 1 Reflection

I AM LEARNING TO BE A ROLE MODEL AND I ENJOYED LEARNING HOW TO PLAY TENNIS AND HOW TO KEEP THE BALL ON THE RACKET.

Camp week

Camp is fun because this is my first time having camp and going on a slip and slide. Tonight we get to stay overnight in our tents.

What I have enjoyed so far

What I AM LOOKING FORWARD this year is camp and swimming . What  I have  enjoyed so far is swimming and keeping safe in the water.

Goals for 2013

My goal for reading this year is to be good at reading because I want to be in the Beatrix Potter group.  
My goal for maths is to be good at maths learning my five times tables because it is cool doing maths.
My goal for writing is to get on with my work and get it finished everyday.
My goal for spelling is to be good with spelling words because the teacher will like it because I have done my spelling words.

I am proud of being able to get in the pool safely.
